My first Walt Disney World experience was for our honeymoon, 9 years ago. As a first time Disney World traveler, I had no clue how much planning, time and research it would take to ensure our honeymoon trip would be a magical, stress free vacation. I knew it would take some work and a little extra pixie dust, to fit in all of our “must-rides, must-sees, must-eats, must-dos”. I researched for months leading up to our trip, reading blogs, books and researching websites to make sure that I was current on every detail including our dining options, special locations to watch the parades and fireworks, touring plans, minimizing wait times and maximize the value of our adventures, character meet and greets, transportation to and from the different parks, and perks both on our resort property and within each park. It was a lot, but I consider our first visit to the happiest place on Earth a great success because when we think back on that entire vacation, there is no way to describe it other than simply and perfectly magical.
Since the first trip, our family has grown by two children (currently 3 and 7). We have traveled on multiple extended family trips as a party of 8 with mixed ages and interests. We have celebrated multiple birthdays and anniversaries and even a pregnancy announcement, while on Disney vacations. Disney is a place of true joy and happiness for everyone in my family. The memories and experiences we have had there continue to bring us that magical feeling in our everyday lives. Every single time that we have traveled, I have truly enjoyed taking on the role and responsibility of being the vacation planner.
